At this time we only provide Delivery and Assembly Service in the state of New Jersey.

 

In-Home Delivery

Our service includes bringing the merchandise inside your home, unpacking, full assembly and placement of the merchandise in the room of your choice. Some items will be pre-assemble at our store, to increase assembly at your home, and to reduce packaging materials waste.

-FREE Shipping & Assembly within Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

-Orders of $1 to $999 outside of Perth Amboy, will be delivered at a rate of $3 per Mile

-SHIPPING and ASSEMBLY is FREE on orders over $999 in the state of New Jersey

 

Delivery Time

All orders are processed within 12-48 hours of placement. Most products are available for immediate delivery and arrive within approximately 2-21 business days. However, it has to be mentioned, that the delivery time depends on what a customer actually orders, because sometimes some of the products that we offer take longer to arrive. Especially, if the products you ordered are oversize, too fragile or imported, because such products require thorough inspection against scratches, chips and cracks prior to shipping and we need to take extra precautions to avoid damaging during transportation. After receiving your order we always follow up with a phone call or an e-mail to inform you about the estimated delivery timeline, therefore it is extremely important that you include the best phone number to reach you in your contact information.  Availability and delivery times are estimated and may vary from information we have at the time of the sale. Buyer agrees that changes in availability and delivery do not invalidate an order. AJB Furniture shall not be held responsible for delays or defaults in delivery of merchandise occasioned by manufacturer's scheduling or delivery, availability of materials, war, strikes, acts of God or any other cause beyond our control.

DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS: Please help us ensure a smooth and successful delivery.

• Provide us with current address and clear directions to your home.
• Make sure your driveway and entrance to your home is accessible and clear of snow, ice, leaves, etc.
• It is imperative to notify us of any unusual elements of your home/yard that may complicate the delivery, such as stairs, decks, low-hanging branches or wires: sharp turns, upper/lower levels, etc.

• Plan to be home to accept delivery or have a responsible party there to receive and sign for your furniture.
• Pets should be secured away from the delivery vehicle and staff.

 

PREPARE YOUR SPACE:

• Remove pictures, mirrors, etc from walls in hallways in the path of delivery.
• Remove any plants, accessories, toys, etc. in the path of the delivery.
• Protect your floors as our delivery staff will not remove their shoes. For the safety of our staff, please avoid plastic or bulky fabrics that may cause tripping.

• Make sure your old furniture is removed prior to delivery. AJB Furniture does NOT provide removal and/or disposal of old furniture.  Ask our office for recommended donation locations / removal services.
• A charge of $50 or more will be applied if old furniture needs to be moved to clear space for your new furniture.  We are not responsible for any damages to the moved items.
• The AJB delivery team/comany will not hook up any electrical wires and/or hang anything on your walls.

 

AJB Furniture reserves the right to reschedule, cancel and/or refuse delivery if severe weather conditions exist.

 

 

DIY

We strive to provide excellent customer service by offering free in-home delivery and assembly, but we do understand when our clients like to assemble their furniture, thus we have our DIY policy.  We offer a discount of up to 15-25% on DIY orders and are subject to the following:

-DIY orders are consider "Final Sales" and non-Refundable.

-DIY orders must be picked up at AJB store to obtain the full 15-25% discount.

-DIY orders qualify for curb-side delivery with regular shipping fee.

-DIY orders must be inspected by buyer before signing off on invoice/receipt.  DO NOT sign the Pick-up / delivery  acceptance form until you (or your agent) have inspected the furniture for damages. No Damage Claims will be allowed if the merchandise has been signed for clear at the time of Pick-up / delivery

 

General Returns

Special orders may not be cancelled. Any returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. No cash refund, only store credit.

 

If you wish to return or exchange items, please follow these steps:

 

ASSEMBLED FURNITURE IS NOT RETURNABLE. If you wish to return your order - do NOT assemble the furniture and/or do NOT let the delivery team assemble your furniture. ASSEMBLED FURNITURE IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN.

You must notified us within 48 hours after the delivery if you wish to exchange or return UNASSEMBLED merchandise for refund.  The merchandise must be in its original mint (brand new) condition. No refunds or exchanges will be allowed if the merchandise has been assembled or used.

All eligible returns and exchanges are subject to 25% restocking fee - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Damage and/or defect is NOT a valid reason to return the product without the applicable Restocking Fee. All defective parts/items will be replaced at no cost to you.  Carefully repack your return in its original packaging including the entire manufacturer accessories as well as the manufacturer warranty cards and paperwork. Enclose the original receipt with your return. No returns will be accepted without the receipt. All returns must be double boxed (manufacturer’s box inside the shipping box). Never write anything on the manufacturer’s box. For your protection we suggest that you insure the package before shipping, to avoid being held responsible for damages or lost merchandise during shipping. We are not responsible for merchandise being lost before it reaches our warehouse.  No returns will be accepted without the original manufacturer packaging.  No C.O.D. deliveries will be accepted. Freight must be paid directly to the carrier.  Original shipping charges are non-refundable.  Shipping charges to return merchandise are non-refundable.
